Writing Among the Ruins - Angkor Wat

In March 2015 our group of writers met in Siem Reap for our Temple Dreaming Retreat.

Our base was Villa Loti, a traditional guest house by the river, five mins by tuk tuk from the heart of town.

Mornings were spent in the ruins exploring some of the lesser known sites out of town.

Halfway through the week we had a workshop with guest tutor, comic artist and illustrator Louie Joyce on the art of visual story telling.

Walter Mason flew in from Vietnam and artist Chhai Kakkada from Battambang arrived in time for happy hour evening readings at Raffles and the Hyatt.

Our preferred mode of travel was by tuk tuk of course!

Though it looks like we were on holiday, lots of work was acheived, with breakthroughs a plenty!

Merci beaucoup to our Villa Loti hostesses, Jade and Anne who so charmingly looked after all our needs.
